In the Garden

It's the last day of May and I just came in from a tour of the garden. Here are some of the things that are taking place there...

The cactus roses are blooming.

So are the white spiderworts.

Little brown mushrooms are popping
up here, there, and everywhere.

This little ladybug was visiting
the purple coneflowers.

The pie cherries are ripening.

And this pretty butterfly was fluttering
along from flower to flower.

That's some of what's going on in my garden today. What's going on in yours?

Until next time...

  1. I love this so much Rebecca! Such beautiful pics of such gorgeous flowers. I always plant lots of shady flowers in the front by my front door and bench (begonias, impatients) And my back deck is so sunny I do things like petunias, pansies, geraniums. I'm trying a few veggies in a raised veggie planter this year too. WE'll see how it goes. Lol Happy weekend ahead to you! ;)

    1. Thanks, Carrie! The petunias that I planted in the hanging basket died. How do you kill petunias? I really think it was the dirt that I got at Dollar General. I realized later that it smelled moldy. Won't do that again! And the basket that I bought there had no drain holes. I drilled some myself, but, in the end, the whole thing was rack and ruin. My bucket garden is doing great though! I got the buckets at Walmart and the dirt from the Amish greenhouse. It is the same kind that they use in their business. My tomatoes, peppers, and squash are blooming and the green onions are ready to eat. I'll post pics in a post later! Thanks for stopping in and I hope your week is off to a great start! Blessings, Sweet Friend! <3
