Master List and Menu Planning Monday - October 26, 2020

Good morning, Everyone!

It's the last Monday of October and, suddenly, the holiday season is upon us! Can you believe it???? Where in the world has 2020 gone???? ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Not that I won't be glad when it's over, mind you. We praise God for His mercy, grace, and many blessings, but in some ways 2020 will certainly be remembered as the worst year ever. Despite how things look right now, though, I pray that 2021 brings healing to our nation and that, before we know it, COVID-19 will be a thing of the past.

New Wall Hanging For Our Bedroom

So how was your week and weekend? Our week here was non-stop.

Lamar City Park - Lamar, Missouri

Lamar City Park - Lamar, Missouri

Some of the highlights include the bison auction at work, going shopping with my husband on Friday (which included a walk in the park), and watching the presidential debate and pre-election coverage on America Stands

Bison Auction @ Prairie State Park on Tuesday

Now, here it is, Monday morning and it's almost time to leave for work. It's raining to beat the band, which we desperately need, but it's snowing to the north of us and we're supposed to be in the freezing rain, sleet, and snow before the day is over. On the 26th of October? Really? Wow! That's super early for us! What's the weather like where you're at?

I do hope you have a blessed day and a great week ahead! I'll be with you again as soon as possible! Let's get started on this week's post...shall we? ๐Ÿงก

Good morning, Everyone!

I trust that your week and weekend were good and that your Monday is off to a great start!

Our weekend here was GREAT! We enjoyed a fun weekend getaway to a nearby lake.

Stockton Lake
Located @ Stockton, MO

We, along with our daughter, son-in-law, and their children, rented a lovely cabin on Stockton Lake and were joined by our son-in-law's parents, who happen to be dear friends that we have known for over thirty years.

The weather was perfect and we jammed a lot of fun into just a few short days!

Since it's Monday, and I'm headed for work soon, I will share a few more photos, then, move right on into today's post.

A Visit to Stoplight Market in Butler, MO

On Wednesday of last week, my friend, Carla, and I took a day trip north to do a little shopping and sightseeing. While out and about, I introduced Carla to one of my favorite places to shop...Stoplight Market in Butler, Missouri.

Stoplight Market in Butler, Missouri

Stoplight Market is a beautiful place that is always in season!

Pumpkins, Mums, and Cornstalks

They carry a large variety of bulk food items, including spices, flour, oatmeal, gluten-free products, local honey, popcorn, cheese, candy, jams, jellies, and more, and, in spring, summer, and on into fall, they offer locally grown produce

Gorgeous Pumpkins in All Sizes and Shapes

Come spring and summer,
Stoplight Market Greenhouse offers a wide variety of bedding plants, hanging baskets, trees, shrubs, and more. They grow more than 35 varieties of tomatoes and over 20 varieties of peppers! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Some of my personal favorite products at Stoplight, and ones that I shop for regularly, include spices (basil, oregano, fennel, chives, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, black pepper, and Real and pink Himalayan salt), bulk foods (rolled oats, oat bran, popcorn, cornmeal, and cocoa), and other items that are hard to find such as Mrs. Miller's 100% Whole-Wheat Noodles and Bragg's Liquid Aminos.

Apples @ Stoplight Market

I also enjoy procuring fresh produce that's in season there when I can.

If you enjoy shopping bulk food stores, and ever make it to the Butler, Missouri area, Stoplight Market is well worth the stop. For more information, click HERE.

Until next time...

Things are going well here. I just haven't had a whole lot of extra time to post lately and I miss being with you all. ๐Ÿ˜ข

I worked on Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday was bison vet check day at the park.

On Wednesday my friend, Carla, and I went north to shop the Amish and Mennonite stores. While there we explored the area and enjoyed a day of fun. In Butler we visited the thrift store, the herb shop, and Stoplight Market. We hiked a short trail at Battle of Island Mound and visited the city lake.

Master List and Menu Monday - October 5, 2020

Good morning, Everyone!

It's the first Monday of October and I had a chipper greeting all prepared, but, since I'm not feeling so chipper this morning, I didn't post it.

I don't have a lot of time in which to share this morning, but we have been bombarded with prayer requests throughout the weekend. One friend spent the weekend at her dying sister's bedside; another lost her husband. Others that we know are sick or hospitalized; several that we know of are dealing with COVID and that, of course, includes President and Mrs. Trump

There is a whole world of hurting people out there, Ladies. Be kind, forgive, help when and where you can, and lift one another up in prayer. Time is short and everyone can do something to encourage another. What can you do today? And for whom?

Praying Over President Trump and A Forewarning

Please be in prayer over President Trump, the First Lady, and their family. It breaks my heart and is shocking to see so many people wishing ill will and even death upon them after learning that they have both tested positive for COVID-19.

Pray and be forewarned! God forbid, should something like this happen to Joe Biden and his wife, or anyone else that you don't like or approve of, you better make sure which side of the fence you're really on. Like it or not, God's Word is Truth and it will stand!
I don't care who you are...Christian, non-Christian, Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Non-Conservative, Right, Left, or somewhere in the middle...what you wish upon others will come back upon your own household!
Matthew 7:2
Proverbs 26:27
Galatians 6:7
Romans 13:1 and 2

Until next time...
