The 152-page book features recipes, advice, and encouragement for Christian homemakers based on Mrs. White's own experience and is divided into three parts.
'Part One' contains a selection of tips and ideas for help in the kitchen...stocking a pantry, setting a table, planning meals, managing portions, teaching children to help in the kitchen, packing lunches, preparing for picnics, setting a food budget, and more.
'Part Two' features information on serving meals and Mrs. White's own house specials...breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
In 'Part Three', Mrs. White shares several of her own, personal, family-favorite recipes. Black and white photos taken in Mrs. White's home are featured throughout the book.

Well, each morning I make a breakfast for a few days, and plan the lunch and dinners, I pre-pack my husband's breakfast and lunch, so he only has to grab it and go, and I also pre-set the coffee. I get up and pack it all, and make sure it's all healthy. I also try to make sure all of the dishes are washed and put away, either before my husband gets home, or at least prior to retiring for the evening. A clean sink in the morning, and clean counters, create a fresh, and positive start to the day for the both of us.

DeleteSounds like a good book! Currently in the kitchen I am working on making more items from scratch and focusing on healthier options. I am also working on coming up with a good budget and stocking up on staples.

DeleteI have read many of Mrs. Whites posts. As for my kitchen, I need to clear out so much paperwork that has sprawled out from the table where I work. I also need to organize the cupboards so that I would not feel I am drowning when I open a cupboard door and everything seems determined to fall out! It is a very small space to store goods & work in, and I need to make better use of it. Annie
