Greetings!

Good Evening, Dear Friends!

It's been forever since I've posted here. There's been so much going on and I wouldn't even know where to begin to start if I tried to fill you in, so I won't even try. Please know, though, that our lives here have been in quite a quandary to say the least and stress levels have been high.While I can't go into all that has been happening, I will say that, in the process, I have gotten so far off track with everything that I don't even know where to begin as I try to pull myself up by the bootstraps, make sense of everything, and get back on track.We are facing challenges unlike any we have ever faced before and, to be quite honest, I am quite frightened of what the future might hold for us. I know in my heart that it is ridiculous to allow fear and uncertainty any place in my life, but, lately, it seems that I'm having a hard time overcoming it. Any advice, any words of wisdom, and all prayer would be most welcome. I am going to try to hold myself accountable by checking in here regularly and sharing more as time allows. Thank you in advance to anyone who reads this post and prays over our family. May Godly richly bless you for interceding on our behalf!

All My Love,
~Rebecca

Five Minute Friday - Connect

It's FRIDAY! That means it's time for another Five Minute Friday where, we, as our hostess and inspiration, Lisa-Jo Baker, puts it, write "For only five short, bold, beautiful minutes. Unscripted and unedited. We just write without worrying if it’s just right or not."

Once again, it's been several weeks since I've had five spare minutes to sit down and write at all on Fridays...or any other day. Life has been full and crazy lately and it seems that I've not had near enough to time to do the things that I'd like to be doing. But...I've got a few free minutes now, so here goes...
GO!

Sometimes, we (especially women) have hard time connecting. We want to connect, but we've been hurt in the past and we're fearful...fearful of getting hurt again...fearful of being rejected...but, you know, sometimes, you've just got to take a leap of faith, reach out, and take a chance. Relationships don't just happen. They take commitment and they take work. I'd like to encourage you today to reach to someone that the Lord has laid on your heart today. Invite a friend over for a cup of tea and some simple treat and connect or reconnect!

STOP!

Have a blessed weekend!

Eucharisteo For And In All Things

Struggle. I've struggled for nearly decade. I've struggled trying to hang on to control of a life out of control. Struggled to fix things that I cannot fix. Struggled to overcome. Overcome what? My own limitations? Overcome things that are not up to me to overcome? I hurt. I ache. Doesn't anyone care? Isn't there anyone who understands? Yes. There's One. The Lover-Of-My-Soul. He cares! And He understands! He really does! And now I know that He does! Now...if I can just stop struggling. Stop trying to control the things that I cannot. The things that I wasn't created to control. If I can cease the struggle and offer thanks...accept grace offered...then...I will know the joy of which I seek. Thank You, Lord, for ministering to my  heart today...this week. Thank you, Ann, for writing this book. And thank you, Carla, for giving it to me. I accept the challenge and offer eucharisteo for and in all things. In Jesus' name.

Five Minute Friday - Story

It's FRIDAY! That means it's time for another Five Minute Friday where, we, as our hostess and inspiration, Lisa-Jo Baker, puts it, write "For only five short, bold, beautiful minutes. Unscripted and unedited. We just write without worrying if it’s just right or not."

Actually, it's been several weeks since I've had five spare minutes to sit down and write at all on Fridays...or any other day it. Life has been full and crazy lately and it seems that I've not had near enough to time to do the things that I'd like to be doing. But...I've got the morning free, so here goes...

Go...

Story. Everybody's got one. But sometimes that story isn't all that we would like it to be. Life isn't what we imagined it would be and we're tired of it. So what do we do? We change what we can change and accept what we cannot as God's will for our lives.

When I was a child I remember this prayer hanging on my parents wall and I'd like to share it with you today...

The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.
