Master To-Do List and Menu Plan Monday - June 5, 2023

The morning has gotten away from me and, here we are, already well into the afternoon! I hope your Monday is going well!

Butterfly on Marigold

How was your week and weekend? My week here was good; my weekend busy. I can't believe how fast the days are flying by and that the year is nearly half over already! Is it just me? Or does it seem that way to you, too?

It sure felt good to sleep in a bit later than usual this morning. I don't sleep well most nights anyway (never have), but, after being out of town a couple of weeks ago, I just couldn't seem to get caught up. I don't do well with heat and, even though it wasn't extremely hot, with no a/c and a lot of extra activity outside of my normal routine, I experienced a lot of hormonal imbalance and water retention. I'm just now starting to get back to normal and am feeling much better. I am so thankful!

Well, the day is getting away from me and I have much to do, so I'm going to scoot for now. Let's take a look at the week ahead...shall we?

This week's master to-do list...

- Clean house
- Do laundry
- Answer a couple of letters
- Look for a rim to make a good spare for the van
- Make plans for an upcoming out-of-town adventure (more about that later)
- Celebrate granddaughter, Kelly's, first birthday
- Work

This picture was taken on the way in to work on my very first day.
That was June 5, 2014...nine years ago today! Hard to believe!

This week's menu plan...

I finally made it to a grocery store (yesterday...hadn't been to one since the 18th of May) and got restocked on fresh foods...fruits, vegetables, dairy, etc. Possible meal ideas this week include...

- Pork loin chop with baked sweet potato and asparagus
- Oven roasted chicken with baked potato, asparagus and corn-on-the-cob
- Tuna and noodles with peas
- Stuffed pepper casserole with beets, green beans, and corn-on-the-cob
- FIsh sandwich with oven fries
- Possibly out an evening or two and/or leftovers

Well, that's it for today! You have a nice day and a great week ahead!

Until next time...

    1. They are indeed, Sandi! (Actually, they are American bison, but, yes, they are also called buffalo.) I work at a state park where we have a herd of around 40 to 45 bison. We've had four new babies born within the past couple of weeks or so and they are absolutely darling! Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment! Blessings!

  4. Hi Rebecca! I don't think I'd do well with that kind of heat either. Ugh! The flower pics are so pretty. ;) The bison one is sooo cool. And I love the history behind it. How fun about your granddaughter's bday. Blessings to her! 💝 xoxo
