My Mother's Best-Ever Oatmeal Drop Cookies

Am getting ready to make a batch of these old family favorites!

MY MOTHER'S BEST-EVER OATMEAL DROP COOKIES

2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. oats
1 cup softened butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 c. raisins
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Mix all ingredients until well blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.

  2. These are so nice! I used self raising flour instead of the soda, flour and salt and didn't have any nuts so left them out. Also used sultanas unstead of rasins...thanks so much for sharing this, I now have a new favorite biscuit recipe :)
