Happy Homemaker Monday - October 29, 2018

Good morning, Sweet Ladies! HAPPY MONDAY! πŸ’—And it's the LAST MONDAY IN OCTOBER! Wow! 😲

What a wild and crazy (but good) week this past week has been. I feel like I've been on a mad dash for too long and am hoping that this week has as much downtime as it looks like it might because I desperately need it!

Our youngest daughter came down last Monday and stayed a couple of nights (one with us and one with her sister and her family) and what a great time we had!

On Monday night we hosted a bonfire here at the house and invited the clan. Most of our children and their families were able to make it, as well as a cousin and one of his sons. We served hot dogs, chips, popcorn, apples, hot cocoa, and apple cider. A good time was enjoyed by all!

On Tuesday morning I helped with the bison auction at work and, in the afternoon, Amanda and I finally got around to working on those fairy jars that we've planned on making for so long. In the evening we were invited to have supper with our oldest daughter and her family and Amanda ended up spending her second night in town there.

Amanda left Wednesday morning and I spent the rest of the day getting the house back in order and recouping.

I worked full days Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Friday night we attended a financial freedom seminar with two of our children and their families and on Saturday night we went to a bonfire at our next-to-the youngest son and his family's place.

On Sunday I finally got around to taking the conceal and carry class that I've been trying to get into to for, at least, three years now. It was great fun and I'm super glad to get that marked off my bucket list now!

Got to take this class with a great bunch of gals!
Enough about last week! Let's head on into the week ahead!

Today I'm joining Sandra and the other lovely ladies for Happy Homemaker Monday over at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom. Won't you join me? πŸ’—

Today I'm joining Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom and
all of the wonderful ladies of
Happy Homemaker Monday!

Right now I am...

... getting ready to fix lunch. (Actually, by the time I got this finished and ready to post supper was cooking. It's been a long day.) 😊

Am thinking...

... about all of the things that need to be done this week and am feeling overwhelmed. I think that I need to take a break, pray over things, make a list, do away with everything that isn't absolutely necessary, and just chill for a change.

On the breakfast plate...

... this morning I had an egg, fat-free turkey, and toasted cheese sandwich and a cup of Twining's Irish Breakfast tea.

The weather...

... PERFECT!!! Sunny and 67 degrees at noon with a high of 73 and a zero-percent chance of rain expected today, but, according to the ten-day forecast, we are in for some big changes. Starting tomorrow there is a twenty to sixty percent chance of rain almost every day and temperatures are expected to be much colder throughout the rest of the week. We'll see!

On my reading pile...

... I finally finished America Stands (get your FREE copy by clicking HERE), but am still reading 5 Things Successful People Do Before 8 A.M. by Terri Savelle Foy, and The Buffalo Train Ride by Desiree Morrison Webber.

On the menu this week...

Monday - creamy chicken and wild rice soup
Tuesday - ham steak, cheesy scalloped potatoes, and green beans
Wednesday - Guatemalan red beans and rice
Thursday - turkey burgers and sweet potato fries
Friday - chili and cornbread
Saturday - broiled salmon, baked potato, and green beans
Sunday - leftovers

On my 'to do' list...

- Monday - Plan the week ahead, do a super condensed version of my weekly "home blessing", do a load of laundry, run a few errands, and get together with my BFFF
- Tuesday - Take a friend grocery shopping
- Wednesday - Start planning our family Christmas get-together, carve a pumpkin, and pass out tracts and treats to trick-or-treaters
- Thursday - Do the November budget and figure first-of-the-month bills
-Friday - Work; make chili for National Bison Day
- Saturday - Work (National Bison Day); set clocks back
- Sunday - Church

In the craft basket...

Fairy Jars
(If I get a chance, I plan on writing a separate post about these.)

Looking forward to this week...

... Any time that I can find to rest, relax, read, and plan.

Something interesting I watched this week...

... Faith For Our Nation

Well, Ladies, that's it for this week! I pray that each and every one of you have a blessed and beautiful week ahead! And I'll see you next week!

Until Next Time...

  7. Hello! Do you know if they make any plugins to protect against hackers?
I'm kinda paranoid about losing everything I've worked hard on. Any recommendations?
