Master To-Do List and Menu Plan Monday - September 12, 2022

Good morning! It's Monday! I hope that you and yours had a great weekend and that your week is off to a great start! My week here was full; my weekend wonderful! My oldest granddaughter and her husband were married on Saturday.

At the Wedding

Heather and Corey
September 10, 2022

Heather made a beautiful bride and Corey was quite handsome in his blue suit. We had a lovely time of sharing with family and friends, some of which I hadn't seen in quite some time, and I enjoyed visiting with them very much.

At the Reception

The kids set up a lovely memorial table in remembrance of my husband at the reception. It was kind of them to do so and his presence and participation in the event was definitely missed. It was hard doing the first grandchild's wedding without him. I love and miss him so much! 💔

I wish Heather and Corey all the best and pray that God's perfect will for their lives, both individually and as a couple, will be brought to fruition in the days ahead. May God richly bless them both! 💓💓

Amanda and Aaron were in for the wedding and they ended up renting a cabin at Angler's Paradise for the weekend; Alysia stayed the weekend with Patrick and Amber. Sunday evening we all met up out there at the cabin for a cookout and had a great time! The weather was gorgeous, the evening crisp and cool and very fall-like! I loved it! 🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁

I hated hearing about the Queen's death this week. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out, that loved Jesus deeply. Her presence in this world will definitely be missed.

Queen Elizabeth II

Please join me in praying over the Royal family at this time, and over Charles especially, as he takes over the throne as King. I don't know that he'll handle his role in the monarchy as well as his mother did. I'm sure that he can use all the prayers he can get. 😢

Lance Mackey's family, too. Lance Mackey has been my all-time favorite dog-sled racer in the Iditarod for years. After a long battle with throat cancer, Lance passed away a few hours before the Queen. He, too, will be greatly missed!

Lance Mackey

Please pray for Lance's children, two of which are very young. They lost their mama in an ATV accident two years ago and, now, their daddy. It's got to be rough for all who are left behind. 😢

Let's get on with this week's post, shall we?

  1. Congratulations to your oldest granddaughter on her marriage! Beautiful photos of nature (and your family as well). Hope you have a great week, saw where fall is only 9 days away now.

    1. Thanks, Jean! The kids got back from their honeymoon in Florida Saturday night and are ready to start their new life as husband and wife. I wish them all the best! And, yes, fall is ever so close, but this record high heat this late in September is ridiculous! I'll sure be glad when the weather breaks and we get some cooler temps! Hope your last week and weekend were great ones! Have a lovely week ahead!
