Master To-Do List and Menu Plan Monday - April 3, 2023

It's a lovely, early-spring morning here in southwest Missouri...61 degrees and overcast at the moment, but the sun is supposed to make an appearance soon. We are expecting a high near 80 today.

It's also the first Monday of April! Passion Week is in full swing and there is much to do, and celebrate, as we enter into this annual time of change and new beginnings.

How was your week and weekend? Did you do anything special to celebrate Palm Sunday?

Here the children made palm leaves out of green paper and chenille stems and we read the story of the Triumphal Entry out of all four gospels. Every time the word "hosanna" was read, the children would wave their paper palm branches and shout "Hosanna! Hosanna!" After church there were real palm leaves for each of them to take home.

Grandchildren Dante, Kira, and Kelly

Speaking of grandchildren, I received a message from Heather this weekend. It said, "Surprise!" and it was accompanied by sonogram pictures. She and Corey are going to have a baby! I'm so happy for them! That means that I'm going to be a great-grandma! John would be absolutely thrilled! 💓

Well, I better get on with today's post. I've got a lot to do this morning and the day is getting away from me. I pray that all is well with you and yours and that the Lord ministers to your heart in great and wonderous ways during this special week that leads up to Resurrection Sunday. Let's get started...shall we?

    1. I will try my best to send you some warmer weather, Kim! And, yes, Holy Week has always been a very special time of year for our family. My husband and I always found it to be a time of change and renewal. Now that he's gone, I continue to keep the faith and trust the Lord to cause all things to work together for my good and His glory. You are in my thoughts and prayers, Sweet Lady! Have a Happy Holy Week and a blessed and glorious Resurrection Sunday!

  3. Hello dear Rebecca! Happy blessed new week to you. I'm so jealous of those 80's temps! Send some warmth this way if you're able. 😉 And congrats on great Grandma status soon. How wonderful! Your menu sounds amazing as always. I was blessed to go to a seder dinner once and it was so lovely. Blessings on your week! xo

    1. Thanks, Carrie! I hope that you and yours are having a blessed and beautiful week, as well! As for those temps in the 80's...well...I wish I could send them to you! It's just a tad too hot and humid for me. In fact, I went out and uncovered the air conditioners today just in case. I think it's supposed to be a little cooler the next few days and then back up close to 80 again. I'd be happy if stayed around 70 degrees year round! LOL! Thanks for the congrats! I'm excited! And, yes, Amber (my oldest daughter) usually puts on a seder dinner every year. I'm really looking forward to it! You have a great rest of the week and blessed and beautiful Resurrection Sunday! <3
