31 Days of The Joys of Autumn - Introduction To A Writing Challenge

I may be stepping out on a limb here, but I've decided to join a 31-day writing challenge through Write 31 Days hosted by Crystal Stine. The point of the challenge is to delve deeper into any topic of your choice, so long as it's something that you love and feel that you can write about for 31 days. I've thought about it extensively and, while there are many things that I could write about, the topic that I've chosen is one that floods my heart and mind at this time of year every year...and that is "The Joys of Autumn." 🍁

The plaque and tea towels that my cousin, Sara,
gave me as a belated birthday gift last year. It
was about the only decorating that I got done!

You see, fall is my favorite season. I look forward to it with great anticipation every year and try my best to enjoy it to the fullest. Last year at this time we were in the middle of a move so autumn kind of slipped right past me without too much fanfare. I did appreciate the late birthday gift that my cousin, Sara, gave me last year though...a fall plaque and some tea towels. They did much to brighten my autumn and were about the only decorating that I did. 🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁

This year will be different. I have already shared my autumn bucket list and am determined to cross as many things off of that list as I can before the season is over. Hopefully, this writing challenge will help me to journal some of the things that I'm looking forward to in the days and weeks ahead and will further help me to focus on finishing something that I've started...which I am often terrible at. I'm not sure where this journey will take me, but it will be interesting to find out!

My plan is to post the link to each post of the 31-day challenge here, so they will all be altogether in one place, so, please, check back often and come celebrate the joys of autumn with me.

Until next time...
~Rebecca

  2. Great minds must think a bit alike. I'm writing a 31 day series on the season as well. However, it's not my favorite season (summer has all my love) so I'm simply trying to see if I can enjoy it a bit more for the next 31 days. By the way, your autumn bucket list inspired my topic :)

  3. Awesomeness, Jean! I can't wait to read your posts! Autumn is my favorite season and I have so many things planned. I hope to do them ALL! LOL! I'm glad to know that I know (or kinda know anyway) someone else that is participating in the 31 writing challenge. And that's cool to know that my bucket list inspired your topic. If I had known about the challenge and what my topic was going to be back then, I would have saved that post for today. LOL! Oh, well! Have a blessed and beautiful week ahead! I'll head over to your site and read your posts as soon as I can. Have a good one and enjoy the joys of autumn!
