Sunday Update On Dh

It's been nearly a week since I last posted and things are still so back and forth and up and down that I can hardly keep up.

Irises in April Snow
(the day after we got home from the hospital)

John was discharged from the hospital in Springfield a week ago today. They really wanted us to stay one more night, but, with snow in the forecast and a two-hour drive home, they went ahead and let us go Monday afternoon.

We visited the cancer treatment on Thursday and, at first, was anxious to learn about and get started with the chemo, but after hearing them out, John has decided not to go with it. For no more time than they could give him with it, he has decided to go with God and fight the cancer through prayer and nutrition. We are asking that all who believe in the power of prayer to stand with us for complete health and healing in every area.

John has battled severe bloating and pain with no relief since being in the hospital. Friday night another trip was made to ER and another belly scan was done. The condition he has is called ascites (fluid in the abdomen). With enough water and protein, the fluid will come off and it has started to do so.

Tomorrow we see the primary care doctor and will discuss an array of things with her as to where we go from here. Please continue to keep my dear husband in your prayers. We appreciate it so much! Thank you!

Until next time...

  4. I'm very sorry. Prayers yes. Nutrition yes. This year we found out my husband has lymphoma and I am diabetic. The ball dropped and we have drastically changed our eating habits and what we are eating. No GMO food. Organic all the way plus 100% cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. Vitamins and minerals that fight against our ailments and inflammation. Even changed my thoughts about deodorant with aluminum and fluorinated water. God bless you and your husband.

    1. Amen, Deanna! We have made most of these changes ourselves over the years. All we can do is do what we can and trust the Lord to do what we can't. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. Blessings!
