Spring Bucket List 2022 UPDATED

   


“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest,
and cold and heat, and summer and winter,

Winter is behind us and, here we are, in the earliest days of Spring 2022. Here in southwest Missouri we've had a few nice days, but most have been chilly, windy, cloudy, and/or wet. I look forward to warmer, nicer, and prettier days ahead! ๐ŸŒท 

What do you like about spring? What are you looking forward to about it? 

Here are a few of the things that I'm looking forward to, as well as, some of the things that hope to accomplish over the course of the season...

1. Write my spring bucket list. ๐Ÿ“œ
2. Plan my spring menus (these will be posted each Monday in my weekly Master To-Do List and Menu Plan Monday posts) ๐Ÿ“‡
3. Celebrate spring birthdays with the grandlittles ๐ŸŽ‚

(With as many grandchildren as I have...21 with another on the way...I forget that none of them officially have birthdays in the spring season. That is until now! You'll read more about that in just a bit.) 

4. Listen to spring peepers and learn the calls of other native species of Missouri frogs and toads ๐Ÿธ

(I actually got to go on a frog and toad survey at work this year for the first time. It was interesting and fun.)

5. Observe a bright and beautiful full spring moon (April 16, May 15, and June 14) ๐ŸŒ•
6. Pick a bouquet of pretty yellow daffodils ๐Ÿ’›


7. Hang a new hummingbird feeder ๐ŸŒบ
8. Visit the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve in Pawhuska, Oklahoma 


9. Attend Flashpoint Live in Tulsa ๐Ÿ“บ


10. Eat fresh asparagus 
11. See a brand new baby bison ๐Ÿงก
12. See a prairie chicken 
13. Plant a vegetable garden ๐ŸŒฑ
14. Take a walk in the rain ☔
15. Visit Wonders of Wildlife with friends


16. Observe Indian paintbrush blooming on the prairie


17. Smell lilacs ๐Ÿ’œ 


18. Observe a bird's nest with eggs in it  ๐Ÿฆ


19. Pick a bouquet of violets
20. Eat strawberry shortcake ๐Ÿ“
21. Go geocaching ๐Ÿงญ
22. Paint and hide rocks ๐ŸŽจ
23. Go on a picnic ๐Ÿ—
24. Shop at a farmer's market ๐Ÿ…
25. Plant flowers ๐ŸŒท
26. Go camping ⛺
27. Observe Good Friday and Palm Sunday ๐ŸŒด
28. Dye eggs with natural dyes ๐Ÿฅš

(I dyed eggs, but didn't end up making the natural dyes. Just used food coloring and vinegar.)

30. Celebrate Resurrection Sunday with family and friends ♱
31. Visit a state park that I've never been to before
32. Hike a new trail ๐Ÿฅพ
33. Celebrate May Day with a basket of fresh flowers ๐Ÿ’
34. Teach a woman's nature journaling class ๐Ÿ“”๐Ÿ–‰



35. Attend Spring Training through work
36. Go fishing ๐ŸŽฃ
37. Welcome a brand new granddaughter (Kelly Margaret Anne - due early to mid-June) ๐Ÿ‘ถ


(Miss Kelly Margaret Anne Knox was born on June 8, 2022. She weighed 8 lbs. 9 oz. and was 19 3/4" long.)

38. Create and complete a spring cleaning list ๐Ÿ“œ
39. Shampoo carpets 
40. Have my car serviced and readied for summer ๐Ÿš—
